Is It Possible For Men To Look Good In Jewellery?

More and more nowadays we are seeing an increase in the amount of jewellery out on the market and more so the amount available to men ranging from rings to silver jewellery and it is also important to note that no longer are these seen as a bit camp or wrong looking on men they are actually seen to be quite fashionable in some cases and may even boost self confidence.

Although there are still many pieces of jewellery out there still solely for women such as silver pendants ( I am not sure any man is going to wear one of these) it is also important to note that many pieces of jewellery are made just for men ranging from rings to  the all important watch.

Even  silver necklaces are being worn by men nowadays just adding to the emphasis on how far jewellery has come for men over the past few years. There does seem to be a very good reason for this is simply that people are keeping with the times and the times as it seems at the moment is for men to wear some jewellery and it does in some cases actually work quite well.

Of course you do have to suspect something is seriously wrong when a man starts going through your gemstone jewellery to see what he likes but if this doesn’t happen you certainly do not have anything to worry about as it is the norm to wear things like silver necklaces, rings and  even a form of earring (stud) now for men.

Do not forget that next time you are out shopping for jewellery to look for something for your partner as they may actually be interested in what you are buying (of course it is a joke). Do not worry as there are so many different brands of jewellery out there for both genders so there is certainly no need to start a fight on whose is whose. Although if this does happen chances are your partner is buying simlar jewellery to you which is never a good sign.

How Would You Like To Have A Traditional Christmas?

With the festive season fast approaching and gifts to be purchased, I decided it was high time I looked into buying my presents early.

When the kids were much smaller, it seemed that Christmas was so much easier.  Back in the good old days when the wonderful Woolies were still on the high street, it was brilliant as all I had to do was call in there and pick up all their prezzies in one go.  Unfortunately now that the dreaded teenage years are upon us, Christmas seems far more complicated, not to mention costly.

Whatever happened to the days of £5 toys being all you had to get for Christmas. This year, on top of one of their lists is Series 1 to 7 of the tv programme 24.  I thought that was going to be bad enough, so you can imagine my face when I saw the other one’s list and saw that she wants a laptop. Of course, being a hormonal teenager, it’s not just any old laptop she wants, I have got the precise model, colour and accessories she wants added.

It would be wonderful if just for Christmas I could turn the clock back and have them as little children again.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Christmas, but it all seems to have got out of hand.

If I had my way my perfect Christmas would involve all of the family sitting round the roaring open log fire with us all having a good old knees up round the piano.

In reality, some of the family might turn up, already drunk, the log fire won’t go on as all the tinsel will be draped over the fireplace, and the closest we will get to singing a few songs, will be on Singstar.   Oh my how things have progressed – or not!

My nieces have already passed me over their Christmas lists.  I have always been honest with them and said I really don’t care what I spend on their presents, but let me know exactly what you want.   Having cast a quick glance at their lists, it looks like one of them wants some silver jewellery, the other said could I get her some silver earrings or maybe if I could stretch to it some gemstone jewellery.

Even though some people might think their lists are a bit cheeky, I don’t and I am more than happy with them.  I know exactly what they would like, I know where I can buy it from and if I play my cards right, I won’t even have to step out of my house to get it.  I am really hoping that with the Internet being as huge as it is now, most of my Christmas shopping can be done from the comfort of my own home.

For now I think I had better get back to all my shopping and see if I can grab some bargains.
